Within the scope of the “My First Book” eTwinning project, a seminar was organized for teachers on web 2.0 tools that can be used in the book writing process. The seminar, which was held online, introduced digital storytelling, interactive book creation and visually supported writing tools. Expert trainers explained to teachers how to use these tools effectively in their classes and gave tips on improving students’ writing skills.
During the seminar, teachers learned how to create interactive books using platforms such as StoryJumper, Book Creator and WriteReader. In addition, practical work was done on story completion, adding digital illustrations and creating audiobooks to encourage students’ creativity. Participants shared their experiences by discussing how they would use the information they gained during the project process. At the end of the seminar, teachers stated that they felt more equipped to use digital tools that would make writing books more fun and effective for students.
